OVERVIEW | Jeffrey is a strategist, communicator, and client liaison with nearly 25 years’ experience. He approaches his work with a trauma-informed lens and a high degree of emotional intelligence. 

Jeff is fascinated by how consumers connect with brand stories, and passionate about identifying what drives an audience to act or react. He draws on deep knowledge of working with diverse communities to help Clarity’s clients define or refine their brands. 

EXPERIENCE | Jeff oversees concepts for brand campaigns, creates targeted media outreach plans, and coaches Clarity’s BIPOC clients on how to tell their stories in a marketplace that centers white-dominant culture.

A former journalist for major outlets including USA Today, Yahoo! and The Houston Chronicle, he has earned his clients coverage in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Esquire, and Popular Mechanics, as well as from local and regional news outlets. Jeff’s work also has been included in the anthology America's Best Sportswriting. 

His coaching clients have earned speaking engagements at TedX Portland, South by Southwest and other notable conferences. He recently wrapped a two-year engagement as senior communications lead for OHSU’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion.
